Those with blood type B are at 21 per cent higher risk for severe illness following infection than those with type A. 'There were 1,328 cases of COVID-19 with severe illness or death, with higher probabilities among AB and B blood groups as well as those who were Rh+,' the researchers write. Infection is five per cent less likely in type O than A, but when compared to all blood groups, this grows to 12 per cent, the researchers found. ![]() Statistical analysis accounted for all other variables and comorbidities and found the adjusted relative risk for SARS-CoV-2 infection is 15 per cent higher in type AB than in type A. Researchers analysed the anonymised medical records of more than 225,000 Covid patients from Ontario and found 36.3 per cent had blood type A, 4.5 per cent had type AB, 14.9 per cent had type B, and 44.3 per cent had type O. There is another antigen, but there are not four possibilities, just two, and this is called the Rhesus antigen.Įrroneously named after the monkey, a person is either Rh positive or Rh negative. The presence, or absence, of these molecules dictates what blood type a person is. An individual can have one of these, both (AB) or none (O). Researchers from the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto studied 225,556 people who had a blood test between 20 and a Covid swab this year.Įvery person has one of four blood types, either A, B, AB or O and the difference in blood groups depends on the presence or absence of specific attachments on red blood cells called antigens. In the UK, around 15 per cent of the population have a negative blood type and almost half (around 48 per cent) are type O.Īround one in eight people (13 per cent) are O-, which are 26 per cent less likely to get infected and 28 per cent less likely to develop severe symptoms or die. Individuals with type O or negative blood are also 13 per cent and 19 per cent less likely to develop severe symptoms or die, respectively. ![]() ![]() It also reveals that those with a negative blood type (O-, A-, B- or AB-) are, on average, 21 per cent less likely to get the virus than people with a positive type. People with a type O blood are 12 per cent less likely to catch the coronavirus than other blood types, a study has found.

The New York Times puzzles also set a common pattern for American crosswords by increasing in difficulty throughout the week: their Monday puzzles are the easiest and the puzzles get harder each day until Saturday. For example, many weekday newspaper puzzles (such as the American New York Times crossword puzzle) are 15×15 squares, while weekend puzzles may be 21×21, 23×23, or 25×25. Puzzles are often one of several standard sizes. ![]() Grids forming shapes other than squares are also occasionally used. "Free form" crosswords ("criss-cross" puzzles), which have simple, asymmetric designs, are often seen on school worksheets, children's menus, and other entertainment for children. Two of the common ones are barred crosswords, which use bold lines between squares (instead of shaded squares) to separate answers, and circular designs, with answers entered either radially or in concentric circles. Substantial variants from the usual forms exist. ![]() These puzzles usually have no symmetry in the grid but instead often have a common theme (literature, music, nature, geography, events of a special year, etc.) The grid often has one or more photos replacing a block of squares as a clue to one or several answers for example, the name of a pop star, or some kind of rhyme or phrase that can be associated with the photo. This style of grid is also used in several countries other than Sweden, often in magazines, but also in daily newspapers. Arrows can be omitted from clue cells, in which case the convention is for the answer to go horizontally to the right of the clue cell, or – if the clue cell is split vertically and contains two clues – for the answer to go horizontally to the right for the top clue and vertically below for the bottom clue. Instead, clues are contained in the cells which do not contain answers, with arrows indicating where and in what direction to fill in answers. The "Swedish-style" grid (picture crosswords) uses no clue numbers. they may not be orthogonally contiguous) and that the corner squares must be white. The design of Japanese crossword grids often follows two additional rules: that shaded cells may not share a side (i.e. Most puzzle designs also require that all white cells be orthogonally contiguous (that is, connected in one mass through shared sides, to form a single polyomino). For example, if the top row has an answer running all the way across, there will often be no across answers in the second row.Īnother tradition in puzzle design (in North America, India, and Britain particularly) is that the grid should have 180-degree rotational (also known as "radial") symmetry, so that its pattern appears the same if the paper is turned upside down. Crossword grids elsewhere, such as in Britain, South Africa, India and Australia, have a lattice-like structure, with a higher percentage of shaded squares (around 25%), leaving about half the letters in an answer unchecked. In such puzzles shaded squares are typically limited to about one-sixth of the total. is part of both an "across" word and a "down" word) and usually each answer must contain at least three letters. ![]() Barred grid where bold bars are used instead of shaded blocks to separate the wordsĬrossword grids such as those appearing in most North American newspapers and magazines feature solid areas of white squares. ![]() Overall, Space Sweepers has a few issues but it's still a very entertaining space movie with a great cast and epic space fights. Though it is a really fun and entertaining film, its desire to explore every aspect of this future, takes away from its most interesting qualities like Space Sweeping. With the addition of a major villain, the film makes a major shift in tone, and by the end, it seems to be a bit confused about what it wants to achieve. My favorite parts of the film were all of the fun family humor on board the ship. We the viewer get a unique experience hearing multiple languages at once. With no official language, everyone speaks their native language but they are translated through earpieces. One other very cool detail the film addressed is how language would be spoken in the future. The sets and production design were fantastic and I found myself fascinated with looking at the details within the sets, especially inside the ships. Many of the best sci-fi films make spaceships incredibly unique to distinguish between them, but because the majority of the secondary cast pilot similar ships, a few fights became hard to follow along with. The space traveling and fighting is so much fun, although I did have a bit of trouble following along at some moments. I found myself immediately surprised by the space action as soon as the movie started, I was not expecting such impressive visuals from a film with a $20 million budget. I also found the backstory connection with the crew a bit unnecessary, since it felt a bit forced to have to history with the villain. I also felt his character was much more interesting without wanting to destroy the Earth. Filmmakers need to stop casting British actors as villains because as soon as I heard Richard Armitage speak, I knew he was playing that role and it ruined a very compelling speech as the film introduced him. It reminds me of Saitama from One Punch Man a funny hero that is packing a massive amount of power. Bubs is one of the coolest robots you will ever see, and he is packing a punch worthy of any anime character. ![]() The film is filled with highs and lows as the crew find themselves in many insane space fights and also share a lot of wholesome family moments thanks to the presence of Dorothy. Played by Ye-Rin Park, she adds such an entertaining dynamic to the crew. Tiger Park had some amazing moments, especially with Dorothy, who by the way, is my favorite character. Captain Jang is a badass leader who does not take any **** from anyone. Tae-ho being the main hero, we get to see a glimpse into his backstory, but I do wish we got to know the rest of the teams' past a bit more, as the film gives us just enough to be invested in them. UTS' top security is looking for Dorothy which puts the crew right in the middle of the action to save earth from complete destruction. While on a routine mission, the crew discovers a cargo ship containing a dangerous humanoid child named Dorothy. Tae-ho, Captain Jang, Tiger Park, and a robot named Bubs are the crew of the ship Victory, a junk collecting ship that trades space junk for cash. It is 2092, Humans have vacated earth and now live on an orbiting home called UTS, located in upper earth orbit. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Not much room for a sequial here but I will be waiting for more sci fi from this studio. Nothing special about the sound and I kept expecting the villain to be something special but alas, he was not. There is a lot of production quality here and for the main cast the acting is great. ingeniously the movie chooses to keep everyone's native language at all times because in this future everyone wears a translater. Despite being a Korean production you may hardly recognise it because while the main crew that we follow is korean we see and interact with ships and people from all nations. The writing is nothing new to anyone in to sci fi, however the innovation tech on display are quite novel and offer a convincing look into a possible future. Despite being a Korean production you may hardly recognise it because while the main crew that we A surprisingly enjoyable movie. ![]() The bridge is supplied with metric 8 mm threaded locking posts and body anchors/bushings. (Im interested in the Saitek and also the new Logitech G13 one.) This works well for me, although Im always looking for improvements and Id be interested to see how others have chosen to set up their keypads. This means I move my hand from the Nostromo to the keyboard in town and then back when its time to take care of business. When I need those I rarely need to be ready to fight. Open bags and all the panels are all still on my normal keyboard. The broad thumbbutton I generally use either for stance/shapeshifting or some emergency ability depending on class. ![]() My firebutton is a bit to hard to press so I bind it to things that I dont use in most rotations. I have a total of three bars hidden (one standard and one each for paging with Shift and Ctrl respectively) for all this. For pet-classes theres pet control and Ive also out all of my focus handling macros here. I also tend to put my CG limited abilities, potions, emergency things like safe fall and such. With 2 wheels and three buttons my mouse gives me a lot of options. ![]() Having Shift and Ctrl easily accessed by my left thumb works well with my mouse too: Ive tripled the keybindings I can assign to my mouse. So, I have one button set up with Pestilence on normal and Blood Boil on Ctrl since they both use a blood rune. I have also tried to put spells and abilities with the same rune use on the Ctrl- och Shift-version of the same button. My DK setup mimics the rotation so my fingers move from one button to the next. Finally, I try to organize spells logically. I also try to organize skill similarly between characters so that, say, spellinterrupts or snares and such are on the same button (this helps a lot if you play more than one toon). I find it easier to access my top row with a modifier than using some of the buttons so I keep that in mind when I assign my spells and skills. Secondary abilities on the row below and seldomly used abilities on the bottom row. So my main abilities are set up to these buttons. My hands are a bit too big for the Nostromo and the uppermost row of buttons is the most comfortable to reach. I dont have to cycle-through or press a second time to return to my main setup. I like this because when I depress my modifier my original buttons return. My West- and Northkeys are simply modifier keys. So I get 2 more sets for a total of 42 buttons. Bartender is set up to page (switch one bar for another) on both Shift and Ctrl. I have bound the West-direction on the 4-way to Ctrl and North to Shift. Since I dont use the Nostromo to move, my 4-way directional button is free for other functions. I also dont use the color shifted states. I dont use is the Nostromo's thumbwheel (I find it inconvenient to use). I have around 20 more buttons that are not keybound for stuff that HS, buffs, consumables and tradeskills and some macros. So, I dont use WASD to move at all and none of these are on my Nostromo.Īlso, I use a bar addon (currently Bartender 4) to display my main 14 buttons in the same way as the keys are set up on the Nostromo (2 rows of 5 keys and a third row at the bottom with 4). I turn with the mouse and I never strafe. I click both buttons to move with autorun keybound for easy access. I cant post a screenshot but this will hopefully make sense to those familiar with the N52. I also use the N52 but my keybindings and my UI is set up very differently from yours.
